Hudson Solidarity event with WI Workers
Hundreds and hundreds of Minnesota and Wisconsin union members and supporters rallied at a solidarity event in Hudson last Saturday over I-94 and Carmichael Road to defeat. Activists gathered to show their support as they face an ugly battle against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker who wants to slash collective bargaining rights of public workers.
After an hour on the overpass where passerbys honked and waved in suppport, the crowd made its way down the road in a peaceful march to the St. Croix County Government Center. Eliot Seide, Executive Director of AFSCME Council 5 fired up the group, then a host of Wisconsin union leadership and rank and file spoke.
