Duluth storms Optum Health Offices for Health Care Reform Now
Over 30 people went into Optum Health offices in Duluth as part of a nation-wide day of action against health insurance companies who gain profits from denying health care. Affiliates from AFSCME, AFT, IAM, SMWIA, and Working America were present.
The group held a press conference which featured Marlene Hart, former AFSCME 3558 member and currently uninsured and President of the Minnesota Citizens Federation-Northeast, and Cathy Schuyler, pastor at Duluth Congregational Church.
